What is Xodol?Xodol is the combination of Hydrocodone Bitartrate and acetaminophen. Hydrocodone Bitartrate is an opioid analgesics. Xodol is used to relieve moderate to moderately severe pain. Increased tolerance for Xodol can occur over time causing physical and psycological dependance. Psychic dependence is unlikely to develop when hydrocodone bitartrate and acetaminophen tablets are used for a short time for the treatment of pain.
Physical dependence assumes clinically significant proportions only after several weeks of continued use, although some mild forms of physical dependence may develop after a few days of therapy. Tolerance, in which increasingly large doses are required in order to produce the same degree of analgesia, is manifested initially by a shortened duration of analgesic effect, and subsequently by decreases in the intensity of analgesia.
Other methods of abuse can include increasing the dosage of the drug taken, combining the use of Xodol with the use of other drugs or alcohol, or finding other methods of use such as crushing and snorting the drug or crushing it, mixing it with water, and injecting it intravenously.
Overview:
Xodol is a combination of acetaminophen and hydrocodone is used to relieve moderate to severe pain. Hydrocodone is in a group of drugs called narcotic pain relievers. Acetaminophen is a less potent pain reliever that increases the effects of hydrocodone.
