Intensive Outpatient Program

outpatient drug treatmentIs an Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program For Me?

The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is designed for the working professional who is committed to overcoming their chemical dependency in an outpatient setting.

The IOP Program includes an individual assessment, group therapy, individual therapy and discharge planning. Clients meet 3 times a week for 3 hours each session.

Family education, family therapy and multi-family therapy are integral components of the program so that the family may also receive counseling to overcome unresolved issues related to the individual and their substance abuse.

Multi-Dimensional Therapeutic Approach
At Solutions Recovery we tailor our individual treatment programs to the client and his or her unique needs; we believe that each client deserves an individualized treatment approach in order to create the most effective treatment plan. Clients are assisted by a multi-disciplinary team of addictionologists, alcohol and drug counselors, physicians, psychiatrists, social workers and other professionals that work together in evaluating the client and his or her progress throughout the program.

Client Assessment
Each client will complete an assessment administered by a licensed, Master’s level clinician. The completed assessment will focus on addiction as well as cultural, employment, legal, medical, mental health and social needs. An individualized treatment plan is created with specific, measurable and realistic treatment goals. Treatment plans take into consideration the client's cultural and ethnic background, lifestyle, special needs, support systems as well as other pertinent factors.

Clients and staff continually work together to determine the needs and strengths of a client in order to develop a treatment plan designed to reduce or eliminate emotional, behavioral and situational obstacles to recovery. The treatment plan also aims to enhance the client’s skills and abilities to become a self-sufficient and productive member of society, and increase the client’s resources within the community. The client’s progress is regularly evaluated to determine if adjustments to the treatment plan are necessary or if modifications are needed for the continuing care/discharge plans.

12 Step ProgramIntroduction to the 12-Step Program
The 12-Step philosophy and fellowship, with its proven success in contributing to long-standing recovery, is a cornerstone of our program and provides recovery principles and tools as well as a support network for the client both during and following treatment. Within a structured, supportive therapeutic milieu, the client is assisted in shifting his or her dependence on chemicals to a reliance on self and others. Clients learn that while they may not be responsible for the disease of addiction, they are responsible for their recovery.

Solutions Recovery
assists clients by helping them find a 12-Step group within their community as well as offering assistance in obtaining a sponsor. Every effort is made to ensure clients are part of the local recovery community and that they are aware of the services available to them.

FamilyThe Family Component
Family and friends struggle alongside the individual with the addiction. Underlying issues of anger, codependency, guilt and resentment are often present within families of a chemically dependent individual. Additionally, families may have issues of grief and loss associated with divorce, the death of a family member or other significant life cycle changes. Individual family counseling and group family counseling can assist the family in receiving the treatment they need in order to establish a healthy dynamic.

Families and friends are encouraged to engage in therapeutic treatment alongside the individual. We believe that family counseling is an essential component not only for successful recovery but also for the family to settle unresolved issues related to the individual and his or her addiction.

Cognitive Components for the family may include:

  • Creating Effective Boundaries
  • Disease of Addiction and Core Aspects
  • Dysfunctional vs Functional Families
  • Enabling and Codependency Behavior

Emotional Components for the family may include:

  • Communication Skills
  • Grief and Loss
  • Trust and Manipulation Issues
  • Guilt and Resentment

Utilizing the client’s philosophies, a spiritual component is integrated within the Solutions Recovery treatment program to help facilitate the recovery process. You will experience the healing effects yoga and meditation. Learning to balance your body, heal your mind, and develop your consciousness. Applying the knowledge and techniques that Solutions Recovery teaches you to  powerfully and naturally detoxify drugs and stress from your body, adopt a healthy lifestyle, have satisfying relationships, and live your life in bliss.

Spiritual Components may include:

  • Creativity
  • Introspection
  • Mediation
  • Motivation
  • Self-Awareness
  • Understanding of Higher Power from a Spiritual Perspective

Random Urinalysis Testing
On a frequent basis, Solutions Recovery conducts random urinalysis tests to determine alcohol or drug presence within the sample. Testing is utilized for clients, employees and vendors. This is provided as a means to monitor abstinence as well as serves as an ‘aid’ for those who benefit from such a mechanism.

After Care
Solutions Recovery understands that recovery is an ongoing process that continues well after treatment has commenced. During the first two years following the completion of the program, members attend a weekly group meeting in order to strengthen the recovery process.

An Alumni Group was created to help facilitate ongoing recovery. Alumni are encouraged to attend group events and functions offered on a monthly basis. In addition, we offer an alumni blog where members can share their experiences with one another and seek continued support.

Follow-up telephone outreach and data surveys are conducted during regular intervals to proactively assist clients by determining if extra assistance is needed following treatment.
