David Marlon, President

Mr. Marlon received his Bachelor's of Arts degree in Economics from the State University of New York and his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Mr. Marlon is an H.I.A.A. Fellow and maintains his accident, health, property, and casualty licensures in Arizona, California, Nevada, Texas and Utah. Mr. Marlon has 19 years of healthcare industry experience, most recently serving as Vice President Western Region, Operations, Sierra Health Services Inc.

Mr. Marlon oversees all aspects of business operations for Solutions Recovery, Inc. including, business development and corporate management, among other duties.

In addition to his responsibilities with Solutions Recovery, Inc., Mr. Marlon also founded The Solutions Foundation, a Nevada nonprofit corporation created to combat substance abuse by providing education and awareness regarding addictive behavior, preventative methods and the impact of substance abuse in respect to economic, physical and social consequences. He also serves on the Board of Directors for H.E.L.P. of Southern Nevada as well as the 10,000 Kids Foundation.

As an outdoor enthusiast, Mr. Marlon has climbed many mountains, including Mt. Denali, Mt. Fuji, Mt. Hood, Mt. Kilimanjaro, Mt. Rainier, Mt. Whitney, Boundary Peak, Mount Elbrus in Russia and Aconcagua in Argentina and the Summit of Machupiccu, in addition to running many marathons and triathlons. However, Mr. Marlon considers his greatest achievement as being a father.

Michael R. Adams, L.C.S.W., Vice President of Clinical Operations

Mr. Adams received his Bachelor's of Arts degree from Colgate University and his Master's of Social Work from Arizona State University. Mr. Adams is a licensed social worker with more than 35 years of experience as a clinician and administrator of addiction and mental health programs. Mr. Adams has also served on numerous boards and committees for public and private organizations, advocating for the addictions and mental health services.

Mr. Adams oversees all aspects of clinical operations for Solutions Recovery, Inc. Mr. Adams is a competitive volleyball player, competing on local and national levels.

Danuelle Shiflet, Account Executive

Mrs. Shiflet received her certification from College of Southern Nevada in Massage Therapy and Bodywork, and is currently pursuing her Associates of Science degree in Psychology.  Mrs. Shiflet grew up around recovering addicts and regularly attended family meetings.  From this experience she developed a passion and a new dedication for helping others recover from their addictions. 

 

Mrs. Shiflet enjoys spending time with her family, arts & crafts, and numerous recreational activities including hiking, yoga, swimming and dancing.  Mrs. Shiflet is very active in the political community, and enjoys donating her time to local fundraisers.

Chris Gordon, Account Executive

Mr. Gordon has been in the recovery community in Las Vegas for 24 years. As an Admission Counselor at Solutions Recovery, Inc., he deals directly with community awareness and assisting individuals in finding recovery.  Mr. Gordon is also a volunteer trainer for the Solutions Foundations, where he helps teach children the dangers of addiction and drug abuse.

 

Mr. Gordon is an avid golf enthusiast and has played at Pebble Beach on numerous occasions. He also enjoys going to the gym regularly.

Jessica Poole, Financial Officer

Ms. Poole graduated from the Professional Career Development Institute in Georgia with a degree in Medical Billing. She has 9 years of experience in dealing with Insurance companies in regards to medical contracts and payments.

 

As the Financial Officer of Solutions Recovery, Ms. Poole writes contracts for the Intensive Outpatient Program as well as the Residential Treatment Program.  She also works with the State Co-occurring program offered at Solutions Recovery.

 

Ms. Poole enjoys spending time with her family and friends along with her two dogs.

Kristin Barrett, Patient Care Coordinator

Ms. Barrett is from Minneapolis, and attended the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities where she received a Bachelor’s of Arts in English.  She is currently working on her Master’s of Science in School Counseling at the University of Phoenix.

 

Ms. Barrett enjoys many outdoor activities such as hiking, tennis, running and bootcamp workouts. 

Kimberly Miller, CFO

Mrs. Miller has 7 years experience in the financial field and is responsible for all financial activities for Solutions Recovery, Inc.  She also serves as a Board Member and Treasurer for The Solutions Foundation.  

Mrs. Miller has provided volunteer work to many organizations in the Las Vegas community including The Stay In School Mentoring Project, Saint Vincent Homeless Shelter, Alzheimer’s Association and The Crystal Darkness Campaign to name a few.

 

Additionally, Mrs. Miller currently serves as Nursery Leader at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.


A Las Vegas native, Mrs. Miller enjoys spending time with her family as well as running.

Tracy Adams, Director of Marketing

Mrs. Adams received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas emphasizing in Journalism & Media Studies.

 

Currently, Mrs. Adams is also the Director of Marketing for The Solutions Foundation, a non-profit organization that strives to provide awareness, education and prevention to members of the community regarding alcohol and drug abuse.

 

Mrs. Adams enjoys many recreational activities such as wakeboarding, snowboarding, horseback riding, hiking, biking, volleyball and wallyball.  Mrs. Adams also enjoys donating her time coaching girls’ volleyball twice a week.

Aubrey Stewart, Compliance Manager

Mrs. Stewart received her Bachelor’s of Science degree from Brigham Young University in Marriage, Family and Human Development. Her responsibilities at Solutions Recovery, Inc. include licensing and certifying the various treatment programs.

 

Additionally, Mrs. Stewart is the current Executive Director for The Solutions Foundation, a non-profit organization aimed to spread awareness and education regarding drug abuse.

Mrs. Stewart has a strong desire to help the community and has volunteered for many organizations including tutoring programs for elementary schools and mentoring programs through the YMCA, Utah State Hospital and LDS youth program.

 

Mrs. Stewart takes pleasure in spending quality time with her family. She enjoys the outdoors, performing arts and loves to read.

Jane M. Schmidt, Director of Clinical Services

Ms. Schmidt received her Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology and Chemical Dependency Treatment from St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud, Minn. Ms. Schmidt is a licensed alcohol, drug and gambling counselor with the State of Nevada. With over 21 years experience in the clinical field, she has extensive experience providing psychotherapeutic services for inpatient and outpatient programs.

In addition to her responsibilities as the Director of Clinical Services, Ms. Schmidt has volunteered at women’s shelters.

Ms. Schmidt loves animals and has adopted several dogs in recent years, two of which were severely abused. In addition to spending time with her dogs, her favorite pastimes include drawing, painting and sewing.

Alana Markuson, Residental Program Director

Ms. Markuson received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and her Master of Science degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from Montana State University-Billings. She has experience working with adolescents and adults in inpatient and outpatient settings, with specific training in mental healthcare, chemical dependency, and chemical dependency accompanied with chronic pain issues.

 

As the Outpatient Program Coordinator, Ms. Markuson is responsible for the Intensive Outpatient Program including the coordination of all counseling (individual, group and family counseling), educational curriculum and other program components. She also oversees the alumni group meetings as well as the family group sessions for close friends and family members of Solutions Recovery, Inc. program graduates.

 

In addition to her numerous responsibilities within the corporation, Ms. Markuson enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and in outdoor recreation activities.

Melanie Bison, Addiction Clinical Specialist

Mrs. Bison received her Masters of Science degree in Psychology with a Specialization in Addiction Psychology from Capella University.

 

She has worked in both inpatient as well as outpatient settings and has treated clients on an individual, group and family basis. In addition to drug and alcohol counseling, Mrs. Bison has experience with gambling addiction and is a Board Certified Expert in Traumatic Stress with the National Center for Crisis Management & American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress.

 

Mrs. Bison is Native Hawaiian and hula dances for Halau Hula Kaleo ‘O Kalani along with her three daughters. All six of her children, as well as her husband, are Native American Indian dancers as well.

Edie Gracia, Director of Business Development

Mrs. Gracia has worked in the Substance Abuse industry for 5 years in both marketing as well as admissions. Her responsibilities at Solutions Recovery, Inc. include placing clients within the program as well as assisting individuals through transitional points. In addition to her direct involvement with clients, Mrs. Gracia is also responsible for community relations and business development, functioning as a community liaison between Solutions Recovery, Inc. and outside agencies.

 

As a Las Vegas resident for the previous 35 years, Mrs. Gracia is active within the recovery community, not only by helping clients in their ongoing recovery, but also through her community involvement.

Dr. Joseph Bradley, Director of Pain Management Program

 

Dr. Bradley holds a Master’s Degree in Substance Abuse Counseling and Education. He is an ACACD Board Certified Addictionologist, a licensed Chiropractic Physician and a candidate for a Doctorate in Naturopathy and Diplomat for Addictions.

 

Additionally, Dr. Bradley is a Certified Interventionist and an adjunct Professor at the College of Southern Nevada as well as the University of Phoenix. He has taught Physiology of Addiction, Medical Terminology, Body Disease and Psychopharmachology. In addition to the classroom curriculum, Dr. Bradley has spoken to private groups, families and individuals regarding the disease of addiction, pain syndrome and the mind-body connection.

 

Dr. Bradley treats those individuals suffering from chronic pain with co-occurring disorder of chemical dependency. His approach is holistic and is directed at correcting the cause, not the symptoms.

Dr. Thomas Roben, Medical Director

 

Dr. Roben received a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Illinois State University. Board Certified in Internal Medicine, he received his doctorate from Midwestern University in Chicago and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ.

 

He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Osteopathic Medical Association, American College of Physicians and the Nevada Osteopathic Medical Association. In addition to his Internal Medicine expertise, Dr. Roben also specializes in Acupuncture and is a member of the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture.

Dr. Fred Brenner, Physician Consultant

Dr. Brenner received his M.D. degree from the University Of Del Noreste School Of Medicine and Bachelor's of Arts degree in Psychology and Biology from State University College of Oswego, New York. Dr. Brenner has 12 years of experience practicing medicine in California, Nevada, and New York.

Leah Hruska

Mrs. Hruska attended the University of Southern California and received her Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology and Political Science.  She is currently working on her Masters of Education in Professional School Counseling at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

 

Mrs. Hruska enjoys spending time with her family, traveling the world, attending sporting events and shopping.  She also takes pleasure in donating her time volunteering at Camp Mariposa, a children’s bereavement camp through the Nathan Adelson Hospice.

Angela Baur, Behavioral Health Clinician

 

Mrs. Baur received her MSW in Social Work from Colombia University in New York City. As the Behavioral Health Clinician at Solutions Recovery, Mrs. Baur is responsible for initial client assessments as well as group and family therapy for the Intensive Outpatient Program along with the Residential Treatment Program and After Care. She has been working as a social worker since 1998.

Charlene Sloan LADC-S, CBGC-S, NPGC-II

 

Charlene Sloan works as a Contracted Substance Abuse Counselor as Solutions Recovery Inc. She facilitates individuals and groups, as well as documentation of her meetings. She received her Masters in Counseling and Educational Psychology from University of Reno, Nevada. She is also Solution’s Certified Gambling Counselor. She has been working as a counselor and addictionologist since 1993. She has retired from the military and was a program director in Reno.

On her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and her grandchildren, as well as her dogs.

Devin Kolovich, Marketing

 

Devin Kolovich has three years of experience in the film and media field, and is responsible for the media production and marketing development of Solutions Recovery. Mr. Kolovich is also responsible for running and coordinating Solutions Recovery and The Solutions Foundation events to help raise awareness of drug and alcohol abuse.

 

Mr. Kolovich enjoys a variety of activities from snowboarding and skiing, to soccer and skateboarding

Stella Margaritis, Finance

 

Stella Margaritis has over 30 years experience in the financial and accounting field, 15 of which were in CPA firms. She received her A.A. in accounting at Santa Monica College with additional advanced accounting courses at UCLA.

 

Stella was self-employed for a period of 10 years.

 

As the Accountant for Solutions Recovery, Stella maintains the company financial records and prepares financial statements for Solutions Recovery as well as The Solutions Foundation.

In her free time Stella enjoys figure skating, reading and playing racquetball.
