Desert Hope Treatment Center

My time here was overall a really positive part of my recovery. I’ve learned that if you’re truly ready to get sober, almost any program can work and it really comes down to what you decide to do with that time. They offered a mix of AA and NA meeting in house 6 days a week which helped me figure out what program worked best for me. The facility itself is a converted motel, and it could definitely use some TLC but it was clean and comfortable enough to get me through. The food was decent but I ordered DoorDash often since I didn’t like what they made. Most of the staff was supportive and truly cared about the clients. There were one or two overnight staff members who came off rude and lacked empathy, which wasn’t great, but the majority of the team made up for that. Overall, my experience was great. I’m coming up on a year sober now, I’m working, and I still go to meetings regularly. Resolutions gave me a solid start and the time and structure I needed to focus on myself. It’s not a perfect place, but it was a good place to get my recovery going.

I can’t say enough about my experience at resolutions. From the moment I walked in the doors I felt cared for a loved and that all the staff genuinely cared about my well being and helping me build my life back. I was in a very dark place when I began my journey at resolutions and from the start the staff show me love and compassion and genuinely made me feel like they were there to help me build my life back and when certain times came that I wanted to give up they pushed me to keep going and see all the positive things going on in my life even if I did not see it my self at times. For any one who is struggling and needs help with there addiction and or mental health I highly recommend giving resolutions a chance because this place along with desert hope saved my life along with many other clients who have came to resolutions and completed the program. I’ve spent some time here working on my recovery, staff is very professional and helpful and supportive, however there are some Ta’s that are a bit and lack empathy which is kind of the whole point of working here with people who require a certain level of care. Furthermore and in conclusion, I would definitely recommend this facility for someone who is working on their recovery and looking for a way to stay sober and create a sober environment and connect with others who have like minded goals. Personally, my favorite staff members here are Sabrina and Emily, who have shown such a personal touch to my program and the way I need to be cared for. They go out of their way above and beyond to make this place safe and warm during holidays, which can be especially hard for addicts in recovery.
